In 1990, he founded the UK's first marketing group, OfficeSMART. Starting with 12 dealer members, the group sustained average organic annual growth rates of 15% throughout. Membership grew to 60 in UK, Ireland and Italy .OfficeSMART won many industry awards and was highly commended for its vision, creativity, innovative marketing and training programmes.
For 6 successive years 'SMART Selections' the first 'Magalog' in the global office market, won the prestigious 'Best B2B Catalog' Award from Catalog Age in the USA. In 1995, OfficeSMART introduced an innovative CRM system called RAPPORT marketing specifically to women 'user-choosers' in offices. The programme recognised women's search for smart productivity solutions. The result: annual sales growth of 16% for participating dealer members with typical average order values increasing from £120 to £150+.
Proficiency Group - a marketing and leadership services company, was founded in 2003 and organised Rethink Pink! the first UK marketing to women conferences in London in October 2004 and again in November 2005, Beyond B2B Marketing in Manchester in May 2005 and the BREAKTHROUGH Marketing to the Office conference in May 2006.
